Thornton Park is a friendly multi discipline Equestrian Centre offering tuition and facilities for all levels located 25 minutes from Dublin's City Centre. It provides a selection of beginner to novice children's horse riding and fun pony care classes from 4 years of age, the range of classes starts with their fun pony care class 'Pony Pals' which is learning about ponies using learning games, which specifically aimed at younger kids. The next level 'Pony Play' combines learning to ride with learning to care and handle a pony which helps the child's confidence and is a great stepping stone to moving to the next horse riding group level lessons.
Kellystown Riding School's activities are oriented towards teaching the rider to progress in their equitation skills in a safe, fun and challenging environment. Every Summer and public holiday season they have a program of Pony Camps for children and young teenagers to learn first hand the full joys and pleasures of equestrian companionship
Coolmine Equestrian provides high horse riding and instruction for adults and children, from age four 4 and older. They have a team of experienced and professional riding instructors whose main priorities are your child's enjoyment and safety as well as the achievement of their riding ambitions.
The Paddocks Riding Centre, located high in the Dublin Mountains, is a family run horse riding centre with stables and facilities to house a large number of horses. Get out of the city and enjoy some riding lessons, or a one/two hour trek through the Dublin mountains enjoying the amazing views and beautiful scenery. They also host birthday parties.
ChildVision is the only place in Ireland totally dedicated to the education and therapy needs of blind and multi-disabled children. Thousands of children with sight loss and other profound disabilities have bravely overcome their obstacles and grown up to reach their full potential, guided by their expertise and support.
ChildVision is primarily an Equine Therapy Facility with a very limited number of horse riding lessons open to the public. Equine Therapy last for 30 minute or 1 hour sessions in group blocks available subject to assessment by their Occupational Therapist. This input provides horsemanship experiences to persons with physical, sensory, mental health, psychological and intellectual disabilities in order to enhance the quality and productivity of their lives.
