Pembroke Juniors provides a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for young players to develop both individual and team hockey skills. Welcoming boys and girls from Junior Infants to 4th Year (boys) and 6th Year (girls), the focus is on learning, fun, and personal growth through sport.

Coaches promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect, while offering high-quality, enjoyable training for all levels.

 

The regular season runs from September to April, with plenty of weekend hockey, and summer activities including youth tournaments and social mixed-gender games.

Rathgar Hockey Club offers a fun and inclusive environment for girls from 1st class through secondary school and boys from U8s to U12s. With a focus on learning, teamwork, and enjoyment, the club welcomes both beginners and experienced players.

Training takes place at The High School, with sessions on:

  • Mondays (6:30–7:30pm): 6th Class & Minor Girls, U12 Boys

Genesis Juniors is a thriving part of Genesis Hockey Club, welcoming girls from 1st class through to Under 16s. With over 380 junior members and 24 dedicated coaches, the club provides a safe, fun, and supportive environment for young players to learn, play, and grow through hockey.

Training takes place on Sunday mornings for primary and secondary school groups at Mount Anville School, with U16 teams training and playing matches on Sunday afternoons at St. Raphaela’s School, Kilmacud.

Beyond hockey, the club offers a vibrant social scene for juniors, with cinema outings, fun days, and trips that help foster friendships and team spirit.

Muckross Hockey Club’s thriving Junior Section welcomes girls from 1st class to 4th year, offering a fun, inclusive introduction to hockey built on friendship, teamwork, and community spirit.

​

Sessions run weekly, with Sunday morning Academy Hockey for younger age groups and Friday evening training for older players.

 

Many juniors go on to join the club’s senior squads, staying involved through their teens, college years, and beyond.

Junior membership applications open each May for the season beginning in September. If applications exceed available spots, places are allocated by lottery.

Three Rock Rovers (TRRHC) runs one of Ireland’s most active youth hockey programmes, with over 350 boys and girls aged 5 to 16 training every weekend from August to March. With more than 16 hours of hockey each weekend, the club offers expert coaching in a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment.

DMcG Hockey runs specialised hockey camps and skills clinics in Dublin for young players who want to improve their technical game. Led by expert coaches, many with Leinster and Irish international experience, each session is tailored to help players develop core hockey skills and tactical understanding.

DMcG focuses on individual player development - enhancing stick work, control, and game sense through targeted drills and game-specific problem-solving. The goal is for every player to have fun, build confidence, and leave better than they arrived.

Many participants have gone on to represent Leinster and Ireland at underage levels. Camps are open to players of all levels who are eager to grow their game.

Monkstown Hockey Club’s Academy is home to over 650 young players, with around 200 boys and 450 girls, aged 6 to 16. With a strong focus on fun, skill development, and team spirit, the Academy has been a core part of the club for over 50 years, creating a pathway from junior hockey to senior success.

 

Training sessions are held across multiple pitches, and teams take part in regular matches and blitzes, following the IHA’s Hooked for Life model. The Academy prioritises small-group coaching, player progression, and most importantly—a safe and enjoyable environment.
